Workforce Development

The nextstep West Yorkshire Partnership works closely with a variety of organisations, for example, Business Link West Yorkshire, West Yorkshire Learning Providers, Jobcentre Plus and the local Colleges who offer relevant information and skills training to employers in West Yorkshire.

We provide information and advice (IAG) services for employers and employees to enable them to successfully plan and undertake new learning and development of new skills.

Providing IAG in the workplace will ensure that staff are appropriately trained and committed to the achievement of personal goals, thereby meeting company business needs and helping to increase productivity.

What can we offer you and your staff?

• an impartial and confidential, quality assured information and advice service, enabling key decisions to be taken on all aspects of training and learning in the workplace. Funding through LSC provision in West Yorkshire means the service may be at no direct cost to your company.
• We provide a plan of action for the individual employee that includes improvement of their required skills in I.T., literacy, numeracy or English as a second language
• In support of vocational training delivery by your preferred learning provider we offer individual advice services. The service enables trainees to acquire new skills and qualifications which they can successfully relate to their ongoing personal development and the challenges to be met in changed working roles.
• Information and advice includes one to one delivery and feedback from a professionally qualified adviser delivered flexibly in the workplace setting.

The nextstep West Yorkshire Partnership can customise the delivery of information and advice services, providing essential flexibility to meet the needs of the employer organisation.
